Stuff I Do Not Need to See in Paris

Really don't need to see this stuff, but it's all over the place.

(Although this 50's diner was cute.)

Rue Cler, Again.

Another visit to Rue Cler Market earlier in the day when there are actually shoppers here.  It is busiest in the morning, but this is lunchtime.  The first time we were here was late afternoon and it was virtually empty, many shops closed.

It was cold today with windy low 60's and no sun.  But Parisians still eat outside under heat lamps.  I must admit, the lamps really made our day.

This guy came running from behind me to photobomb the picture and was so funny we asked him to pose in front of his restaurant with his coworker.

Eiffel Tower

Been here, done it.  But what is a visit to Paris without at least a bus ride around the Eiffle Tower area.

St. Xavier

St. Chapelle and the Conciergerie

St. Chapelle is known for its stained glass windows and the Conciergerie was the prison which kept all of the prisoners of the French Revolution before they were sent to the guillotine.  We found Marie Antoinette's cell, apart from the rest with her own courtyard, most interesting.

Robespierre, who sent thousands to the guillotine, many innocent of his charges, turned on one of the revolution's heroes, Georges Jacques Danton, and had him beheaded.  "Show my head to the people, it is worth seeing," Danton said.  Little did Robespierre conceive that Madame Guillotine would someday be his fate, too.

Love these guys photobombing with a selfie.
